JASON BRINGS SUBSTANTIAL EXPERTISE TO THE FIELD OF ASTRONOMY EDUCATION. AS THE HEAD OF THE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT AT CLARK PLANETARIUM IN SALT LAKE CITY, HE OVERSEES THE STATEWIDE FIELD TRIP, TEACHER DEVELOPMENT, ELEMENTARY OUTREACH, AND SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS. HE HOLDS A BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE IN PHYSICS EDUCATION AND A PROFESSIONAL EDUCATOR LICENSE. JASON IS PURSUING A MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPACE STUDIES SPECIALIZING IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PLANETARIUM EDUCATION AND THE NATIONAL SPACE SYSTEM. HIS NASA EXPERIENCE INCLUDES MANAGING A MULTI-INSTITUTIONAL OUTREACH EFFORT FOR THE PUNCH MISSION, SPENDING TWO WEEKS AS AN ANALOGUE ASTRONAUT AT THE MARS DESERT RESEARCH STATION, AND VOLUNTEERING AS A SOLAR SYSTEM AMBASSADOR. JASON IS FUELED BY HIS LOVE FOR SPACE SINCE BIRTH AND IS DEDICATED TO SPREADING THE BIG-PICTURE PERSPECTIVE OF THE COSMOS.
